Delete your PagePulse account

If you want PagePulse to forget you, there are two paths. Both delete all data tied to your account. Pick whichever is easier.

Option 1: Delete from inside the app

If you still have PagePulse installed on your Android device:

1. Open PagePulse and sign in (if you are not already).
2. Tap the Settings tab in the bottom navigation.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the Settings screen.
4. Tap Delete account. You will be asked to confirm.
5. On confirmation, PagePulse signs you out and deletes your account immediately.

That is the fastest path. Your account and the data listed below are gone within minutes.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you have already uninstalled the app, or you would prefer to ask us directly, write to hello@affordancedesign.in.

In your email, include:

• The Google account email you used to sign in to PagePulse
• A short line confirming you want your account deleted

We will action the request within 30 days. In practice it is usually within 48 hours. We will reply to confirm when the deletion is complete.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, PagePulse permanently removes all of the following:

• Account identifiers. Your Firebase Authentication record (which links your Google identity to your PagePulse data) is removed.
• Library. Every book you added, every reading status you set, every rating, every note.
• Analyses. Every per-book analysis our servers generated for you.
• Reading patterns. Your reading persona, mood fingerprint, and pattern signals.
• Shelfie shares you created. The short-link records at thepagepulse.com/s/<id> are deleted, so the links stop resolving immediately.
• Recommendations. Your cached daily recommendations and any "for you" candidates.

What gets kept

For legal and operational reasons, PagePulse may retain the following for a short period after account deletion:

• Payment records. Google Play handles all payment processing, and Google retains transaction records per their own policy. PagePulse never sees your payment data and has nothing to delete here.
• Aggregated, anonymous analytics. If your usage contributed to anonymous, account-unlinked counters (for example, "total books analysed across all users"), those counters cannot be reversed because they no longer reference you.
• Backup snapshots. Our database provider (Google Cloud Firestore) takes routine backups for disaster recovery. Your deleted data may persist in those backups for up to 30 days before it ages out. Backups are encrypted at rest and not used for product features.
• Email correspondence about deletion. If you wrote to us to request deletion, we keep that email so we have an audit trail that your request was honoured. We do not use it for anything else.

After the 30-day backup window, nothing identifying you remains in PagePulse's systems.
